Find Your Own Adventure EP

"The marauders of soul and purveyors of melodic music are back! Finka are here with their new EP ‘Find Your Own Adventure’. The last outings from Finka were sheer marvels with great efforts on tracks like ‘The Runner’ and ‘Bigger Boat’. This time around the lads are back with a fresher sound, a very complete and crisp set of songs.

‘Battles’ kicks into action with a fine aeroplane bass line. Melodic yet dreamy guitars overflow filling your head with hair tingling sounds. Jimmy’s back with addictive vocals as if he’s been your best mate for years, familiar and impressive.

'Find Your Own Adventure' points to a new wave of optimism. With sounds that echo sentiments of relief. Vocals and lyrics harking back to the past but secretly opening the boundaries to new adventures. A familiar guitar sound pierces through your skin and vocals that challenge as the song builds to a fantastic sing along chorus.

Jimmy leads the way with a soulful entrance to the epic ‘Sixities’ a reflective celebration of the good times. The song turns into gang warfare with backing vocals from Adam, Jeppo and Ben.

‘Bodies’ complete the superb EP. Raucous guitars belt into the song with piercing drum beats to tease. A groovy bass line backs powerful vocals.

Finka again have surpassed any dreams they thought they had. True magicians crafting their meaningful melodies that describe the calm beautifulness of grey Manchester. ‘Find Your Own Adventure’ provides a greater backbone and its time Finka let the world in on them. Please go out to see this band. You will also be amazed with Finka classics like ‘Bigger Boat’ where bounding drum beats give waterfall calmness and the vocals come to sooth you, another tearful moment.

Finka are tight nit and bring souls of the north into the fore. Highly outstanding!"
